Neatscan does not collect, sell, share, or upload your documents. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind.
Scanning, edge detection, perspective correction, filters, OCR, and PDF or JPG export all run on your iPhone. The following never leave the device through Neatscan:
Deleting the app deletes this data. There is no cloud copy, because there is no Neatscan server.
Neatscan asks for camera access only to scan paper. The camera permission string in the app is:
Neatscan uses the camera to scan your documents. Scans stay on this device.
The app does not access your photo library, location, microphone, contacts, calendar, or health data. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.
If you buy a plan, the purchase itself is handled by Apple, and entitlement status is verified through RevenueCat, our purchase infrastructure provider.
RevenueCat receives purchase history only, to confirm whether your plan is active. Per RevenueCat's own privacy manifest, this data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking. Its declared purpose is app functionality.
We never see your name, email, payment card, or the contents of any document. Apple does not share those with us.
Neatscan does not upload document content. RevenueCat may connect to load App Store products and check purchase status; its role is limited to purchase infrastructure, not document processing.
Opening Terms, Privacy, or Support in Settings loads these pages over HTTPS. That is a page view of this site, not a document upload.
The app is intended to be rated 4+. It does not contain user-generated social content, chat, or an in-app browser. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If a paid plan lapses, the scans you already saved remain on the device and stay readable. Multi-page PDF export and OCR become unavailable until you restore or subscribe again. We do not lock you out of pages you already captured.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
