Tide Chart & Times Near Me is an offline tide prediction app for the United States. It runs entirely on your device.

Data Collection

This app does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

No Network Access

Tide predictions are computed on your device from harmonic constants published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which are bundled inside the app. The app makes no network requests to retrieve tide data and works fully in airplane mode. There is no backend server operated by this app.

Location

If you grant location access ("While Using the App"), your coordinates are used only on your device to sort the bundled station list by distance and to preselect the nearest tide station. Your location is never transmitted, stored on a server, logged, or shared with anyone. It is not written to disk.

Location access is optional. If you decline it, every feature remains available and you can search for and select any station manually.

On-Device Storage

The app stores your selected station, saved stations, and display preferences (units, datum, time format) in local device storage. This data is shared with the app's own widgets and Apple Watch app through a private Apple App Group container on your device. It is not synced to any server operated by this app.

Apple Watch

Station selection is synchronized between iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, which transfers data directly between your own paired devices.

Purchases

Optional features are unlocked through a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Purchase validation is handled entirely by Apple's App Store via StoreKit. This app never receives or stores your payment card details. There is no subscription.

Accounts

The app does not require an account, login, email address, or any sign-up.

Children

The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
