Read the Room is designed to work without an account and with minimal data handling.
Last updated: September 5, 2026
Names you add for a game are stored locally on your device so your setup can be restored the next time you open the app. Read the Room does not upload those player names to the developer or to an analytics service.
Read the Room does not require account registration. The app does not include advertising SDKs, general app-usage analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, or behavioral profiling. RevenueCat processes purchase history for purchase and entitlement functionality and for purchase analytics in its developer dashboard, as described below.
If you buy or restore the optional one-time unlock, Apple processes the transaction and RevenueCat is used to verify the purchase and entitlement. Those services may process purchase receipts, transaction identifiers, app/device information needed for purchase verification, and an app-specific customer identifier. The developer does not receive your payment card details.
Apple and RevenueCat handle information under their own privacy policies and service terms.
The core game can be played offline. An internet connection may be used for purchase availability, purchasing, restoring purchases, and entitlement verification. Opening Terms, Privacy, or Support links also uses your browser and network connection.
The app and its software dependencies may use system APIs such as local preferences, file timestamps, and system boot-time information for ordinary app functionality. The app’s privacy manifest declares the required reasons for those APIs.
Read the Room does not ask you to create a profile or submit sensitive personal information. Do not enter information into player names that you do not want stored locally on your device.
This policy may be updated when the app, its purchase services, or applicable requirements change. The date above will be updated when material changes are published.
